Cacoa is a skincare brand that's all about making you feel confident in your skin. Our skin is the first point of communication with people. In most cases, it informs people's first impression of us and gives them a peek into who we really are. The skin, the largest part of our physical composition, is sensitive and, sometimes, very troublesome to take care of. For most people, the appearance and health of their skin informs their personality and inspires confidence.

For Cacao, skincare is a deep, intimate routine people carry out constantly to feel confident in the skin that they wear. And just like confidence and comfort are deep-rooted, (true) love is deep-rooted (not superficial). Just like skin is natural, rich and organic; love is also natural, rich and organic. Thus, Cacao's goal is to get you to fall in love with your skin so you can intimately care for it.

Cacao's identity revolves around creating a balance between elegance and approachability—with an understanding that clear skin is tasteful, accessible, and affordable. An affordable luxury, if you will.

The logotype utilizes the universal symbol of love—customized to feel elegant, using chiseled edges where pointed vertices previously existed. The typeface combines a balance of roundness and angles, making it both approachable and elegant. The visual palette is inspired by the different shades of black and brown skin. Together, these elements combine to paint a picture of owning elegance and an understanding that clear skin is easily accessible for individuals with black and brown skin.
